Grandma's Spetzlers

Probably not spelt correctly and most likely not the recipe you might easily find - but we loved these at home either in pea soup or with pot roast or in a bowl with butter

1 egg
3 large tablespoons of flour
1 or 2 table spoons  of milk

first beat egg then add flour - add milk until thin but not runny (it should snap back like gum)

boil big pot of water add heaping spoon of salt

dip spoon into mixture for about a marble size ball then ease it into the boiling water
keep repeating until no more batter
boil for 10-15 minutes
